Originally titled International Bank for Reconstruction and Development, the World Bank was set up after the 1944 Bretton Woods agreement to alleviate austerity in Europe following the Second World War. Today, the World Bank has become the leading agency in enforcing neoliberalism in the underdeveloped world.
(Esta gran humanidad ha dicho) iya basta!

"Clicks & Cuts" (Mille Plateaux, MP79, January 2000)

"(This great humanity has said) enough is enough" is composed from source material recorded on the grounds and interior of the World Bank, Washington, DC on 30 March 1999. Ultra-red dedicate this track to the work of the grass-roots organization, 50 Years Is Enough. Also based in the US Capitol, 50 Years Is Enough has tirelessly advocated an end to the World Bank and the International Monetary Fund whose brutal austerity policies pursue global capitalism at the cost of human rights.
